Estella González es chicana de primera generación nacida y criada en el este de Los Ángeles. Cuenta con un B.A. en inglés de la Universidad Northwestern y su MFA en ficción de la Universidad de Cornell. Su trabajo ha sido publicado por Kweli Journal, Huizache, Asteri(x) Journal y otras revistas literarias. Su poesía ha sido incluida en antologías como What They Leave Behind: A Latinx Anthology (Bowker, 2021) y Nasty Women Poets: An Unapologetic Anthology of Subversive Verse (Lost Horse Press, 2017). Sus historias han obtenido numerosas distinciones y premios, incluido el Premio Philip Freund de escritura creativa de la Universidad de Cornell, mención especial del Premio Pushcart. Estella González is a first generation Chicana born and raised in East Los Angeles. She received her B.A. in English from Northwestern University and her MFA in fiction from Cornell University. Her poetry has been included in anthologies such as What They Leave Behind: A Latinx Anthology (Bowker, 2021) and Nasty Women Poets: An Unapologetic Anthology of Subversive Verse (Lost Horse Press, 2017) stories have garnered numerous distinctions and awards, including Cornell University's Philip Freund Award for Creative Writing, Special Citation Pushcart Prize. At the annual International Latino Book Awards, she received a Rising Star Award for Chola Salvation (Arte Público Press, 2021), which won gold medals for Best First Book and Best Short Story Collection. In addition, Chola was a finalist for the New Mexico - Arizona Book Award. Her manuscripts have also been shortlisted for the Louise Meriwether First Book Prize and the James D.
